Safety cabinets are fireproof furniture that are used to store hazardous materials, such as corrosive and flammable substances. They are made of material that is chemically and mechanically resistant, so they provide protection against the possible spread of fire or explosion.

Safety cabinets are used in laboratories of numerous specializations, including industry or medicine as well as in university laboratories and research centers.

This minimizes the risk of dangerous fumes escaping to the outside. Their construction is very durable as it is made of steel sheet.

Cabinets for hazardous materials are divided into:

• cabinets for flammable substances – this is a solid protection of flammable materials, which must be stored under strict conditions, as they can cause a fire or explosion after just a short contact with a source of ignition,
• cabinets for chemically aggressive substances – in this case, it is required to specify precisely the types of substances stored so that they are chemically compatible, then they can be safely segregated and storage areas can be marked properly.
